Well well, congrats to Mila for the cover girl status and congrats to everyone else too on your beautiful pictures. I would so much like to also see some bigger versions of the last photoshoot. It's hard to tell everything when they have been resized. Some of my personal favourites are definatelly Arala's, Lokii's, B's and Szei's. Good work girls!

I find this new photoshoot to be quite a challenge! Everyone really has to find their matching counterparts(and that's 2 for Arala) on top of finding some great scenery which is sure to be anything but easy. I guess I'll be aiding my muse Szei with her photoshoot as I seem to have secured a position as her official assistant. x_X
Well I already have some ideas to share for this, gotta wait for Szei to return our hOUSE. (I did the dishes, it's safe now!)

Good luck with this assignment everyone and don't get too stressed over it!

I didn't pick this because it wasn't November enough for me... (I scaled it down, she's bigger in the original but I don't want to break thread rules xD) Perhaps I should have picked this, but it's too late to wonder about that.
When I got my evaluation yesterday, I fully expected to be left out, since I hadn't been able to mend my weak spot.

Someone had to lose, and it's no shame coming behind any of these beautiful women.

Congratulations Mila, and all the others. You did great. I still think I did great too, that shot has been my background for a week and I'm in love with how it looks. So don't feel bad about me! P.S. Lady Nilene, is it okay if I email you to ask why you guys decided to make me one of the final twelve? I'm curious as to what it was that gave me the chance to be in
Wow .. that shot looks really cool. the emote you use there to slightly hide behind the tree makes her look so cute XD.And yes go on with improving! Even if you didn't pass this time ... just try to become so good at taking screens until you become so good at it that you might be able to crush us all and put us in shame.Iguess it's the only encouragement i can leave you .

Watching this so far I noticed something.

With this new assignment Mila got the easiest princess to do. (We all know Vabbian is the Aladdin theme) And she already has the vabbian armor in the vabbian area so all she really needs to do is look pretty. Just seems she's getting a good head start UNLESS the judges are going to be strict with her pictures since she has a place and theme and armor picked out for her. This isn't about Mila though it's about the judge's decisions.

About the last assignment I find Mila's picture was very well done yet it was too big and had some flaws within it that the judge's pointed out. Yet Lokii's pic is the only one I saw that had no comments on flaws whatsoever. So I want to know where did those extra three points came from between Lokii and Mila's scores.

They don't display all of the comments/evaluations, because that would be way to much text - they basically only say the key things that are done right or wrong in the photo's - so they may have said something negative about Lokii's shot that wasn't displayed in that post.

In cycle 1, week 3, I and Jaden were both up for MOTW, in the actual post, there was no negative comments about my photo, but there was a few about Jaden's, yet she still won MOTW that week - As Nilene has said, there is many other factors when they make certain decisions, and those factors may not be visible to everyone, but they are there.

wow great shots everyone! i absolutely love Mango's shot, you look so peaceful and perfectly work with the background and the fall mood. And, i havent seen anyone use /beg either, so no matter what the judges say, your shot is amazing

and congradz Mila for MOTW

i cant wait to see the new assignment photos! this assignment is so interesting and original, but i feel that it should have been done later on in the competition, because i think the models need little more experience in the competition before making such a hard assignment. this is by far the hardest assignment I've seen in TNTM, and ill definetly try it myself, but ill pick a princess that wasn't chosen by Nilene ;D

to the eliminated contestant: the judges always make a difficult decision about who to eliminate, it cant be done without little prejudice towards the eliminated contestant, no matter who he/she is and what was the reasoning behind a shot that was judged being poor. but this is a competition, and every week someone has to "go home", if it wouldn't be you, it would be someone else who would have their own opinion about who should have been eliminated instead and why their picture was good (thats why they sent it in right?)

don't have any hard feelings, this is a competition, and the best thing you can learn from it is to loose gracefully, because anyone can win with a nice face, yet to loose is harder. all along the competition there will be nervousness, feeling that you weren't judged fair sometimes, but this is a photo shoot competition, not a math exam where the winner is DEFENETLY the one who has the more %, and the judges have their reasons behind every elimination. i understand that having more points. yet not having MOTW while having more score, feels like coming first at a race, and getting the silver medal insted of the gold, but do not forget that the judges must look at the pictures as magazine and catalog pictures, not only pretty shots with great colors and composition. Personally i prefer by far Loki's picture, but the judges have their own reasoning.

good luck to all of you on the next assignment

It's all subjective really.

And I'm sure Mila's not getting the easiest job. Since she started off so strong, all the pressure will be on her to keep up the good work, one little flaw will cost. A lot. So what you said was a little too biased and rude to both the judges and Mila herself.

Lastly, if all the judges had to reply to every single fan complaint, they will be up 24/7 sending out explanations. Just trust their work, the contestant's works and attitudes should more than speak for itself.

GO MILA GO! Run run run, you're gonna make it. Instincts.

I can think of one reason, based on what the judges said. Mila's actual appearance in her shot was very model-esque, long and lean and graceful, while Lokii's physique was more "curvy and cute". It is a modelling competition, after all, so it's not unreasonable that how well the physique matches the conventional model "look" will count (though it's easy to forget the factor of appearances in a game where every character has perfect figure/face/hair :P ).

Ok, lets see if I can clear some stuff here since its causing problems.

With the easier assignment, its the luck of the draw. I didn't see anyone complain about the Calendar shoot, and lets be honest, the people who had the fall months had a harder time than the people with the summer/winter months. If you watch the show when they did the "High School Stereotypes" (The teachers pet, the slut, the class clown, the nerd, the jock, etc) this season, do you think these girls get to choose which stereotype they get to portray? This is classic Renee, who complained about every "character" she had to portray, always stating that she could've done better if she was given this character to portray and what not. As a model, its not your job to determine what you look good in, designers and photohsoot directors give these girls the outfit, assigned them the hair, makeup, etc. It is the models job to work it and make it great regardless if one outfit looks better than the other or whatever. Welcome to the industry lol

I don't favor any one person when I assigned these assignments, I try and look for who they are best suited for, so they can work around and produce the best shot they can. And besides, just because someone seems to have the easiest character, doesn't mean they're shot is going to be flawless.

Biggest flaw in Lokii Dia's shot is that her outfit is completely lost in the background, if not for her dark skin, she might as well just be a head in a head shot. Love the color scheme, but dont go matchy matchy to the point where you're lost in the background. Mila's shot, her top matched the colors as well, but the contrast between the light sky and the darker top was more dominantly present versus Lokii's.

This is an issue we deal with alot, all I can stress upon is that we are very particular and very decisive in our decisions. And for the decision between the two highest score and why the highest doesnt always win is that we debate between the two, and maybe someone will point out a flaw or something that the other two didn't notice and will favor the other. There are many reasons that our decision can be swayed one way or the other at that point, it is very subjective to some aspect. We debate on our decision for quite some time, and the transcript can get pretty overwhelming.

I hope this can give some light into everything, all I can say is that I do hold the integrity of my contest very seriously. I will be the first to say that I'm a total flake at times, but my contest and its integrity are all very important to me, and I will uphold them to the highest standard I can. I am only biased to the one I feel performed best. And I will fight for that person until I prevail or am persuaded otherwise. Same for eliminations.

If there are any other questions or concerns, feel free to comment! Everyone's opinion is respected!

Thank you Lady for setting it straight so I can understand all the better.

Geishe please be nice, I said I liked Mila's work and asked simple questions I wanted to understand about and I was blunt. Don't point me out as rude or biased this was one of the things I've noticed and Lady answered it without calling me out as rude and biased.

Sorry for pointing out something I didn't understand.

Ok, Hello. Just woke up lol. I don't particularly think I got the easiest assignment. I don't think you should underestimate the effort that these models are putting in either.

I don't think I'm being given a good head start, for my assignment theres more to it than looking pretty. Everyone needs a male model. The aim is to convey the character & try and pull them off as well as possible.

As for the month of July, I spent a good few hours trying to come up with something original and different for July, (scouting Elona hehe) but in the end I tried to go with the first place i arrived at, and do something different.

But you are entitled to your opinion. Admittedly, it is slightly different from the models perspective, I used to take screens & post in the TNTM Cycle 1 Thread, but its different having screenie requirements than being able to freely take your shots.

I think I've rambled a wee bit =P
(Geishe's enthusiasm makes me laugh ^^)

I also feel that this is a bit too tricky, restricted and troublesome for a second assignment, but I guess we'll just have to work hard then. Luckily I already found a nice spot for my photoshoot, so now I'll just have to play a male mes far enough to be able to take those duo shots. Otherwise... Norgu, would you come over here for a sec?

I'm glad I havent had to step in with my stick yet. Good job.

Now if anyone needs a male ranger I can be contacted here or on AIM or MSN.

It'll be hard to catch me in game, so your best bet is to catch me on messengers or send a board pm.

There already seems to be a cat fight going on because of TNTM. And I don't mean in the forums. It's spread to in-game already and boy the wands are flying!

Lokii Dia has already confronted Mango about the popularty poll.

Lets just say it wasn't pretty.

This is turning out to be harder than I thought! Although I love the challenge, I've done so much googling for pictures and inspiration. I haven't even started taking screens yet though, trying to organise my two male models to be on at the same time! (and both in a good enough mood...)
